It has been revealed that Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley purchased a multi-million dollar waterfront mansion on an island in South Carolina shortly after joining the board of Boeing.

Haley has since resigned from the board. She bought the residence in Oct. 2019, just five months after joining the board of Boeing and shortly after leaving her post as US Ambassador to the UN in the Trump administration.

The New York Post reports that the residence on Kiawah Island was originally listed for $3.3 million but Haley was able to snag it for $2.4 million. The home is owned by Haley and her husband.

Haley, who has long been critiqued for her ties to the weapons makers and military suppliers, banked more than $700,000 in consulting fees and more than $300,000 in cash and stock from the aerospace company. According to the outlet, she had a net worth of less than $1 million when she left the Trump administration in 2018.

Haley resigned from the board in March 2020 after Boeing worked to obtain federal assistance during the coronavirus pandemic.

The former Gov. of South Carolina amassed a net worth of more than $8 million, according to a deep dive financial report from Forbes, after leaving Trump's White House.

The Haley family's Mediterranean-style luxury home is situated in an exclusive enclave on Kiawah Island. The affluent island provides a laidback beachy atmosphere and is equipped with state-of-the-art golf courses and a famous resort. Notable names such as President Biden, Oprah Winfrey, and Bill and Hillary Clinton have been seen on the island.

Haley's $2.4 million 5,700 square foot mansion comes with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. The home features tiered balconies, a pool, private terraces, an outdoor kitchen, lofty ceilings, a bar area, a guest suite, a media room, an elevator, and more.

Nikki Haley, who has seen a recent spike in the polls but remains behind former President Donald Trump, is a director for United Homes Group and has received more than $250,000 from the company.

She has also signed multiple book deals which resulted in raking in at least hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to the outlet.

Before becoming Gov. of South Carolina in 2014, Haley had less than $100,000 to her name, the outlet reports.
