San Francisco DA tells 'victims' trapped by Gaza protesters on Golden Gate Bridge to contact police for 'restitution'

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins is asking anyone who was trapped or delayed by anti-Israel activists who shut down the Golden Gate Bridge on Monday to report it to law enforcement because they may be victims of false imprisonment and “may be entitled to restitution and have other victims’ rights.”

Jenkins made the announcement at a press conference Tuesday and encouraged anyone who was trapped on the bridge on Monday to contact the California Highway Patrol’s Marin Division at 415-924-1105 or chpmarin@chp.ca.gov.

The DA is also weighing charges against the 26 Hamas-supporting activists who were arrested on the bridge but said her office needs more evidence to prosecute.

Last month, 78 anti-Israel activists were ordered to pay restitution and participate in community service for blocking the Bay Bridge in November. Each of the activists is required to pay restitution to every victim who came forward.

The Golden Gate Bridge was closed for hours on Monday after the anti-Israel activists chained themselves to parked cars and each other to stop traffic as part of a coordinated effort across the US to oppose Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists.

The actions were part of the "Coordinated Economic Blockade to Free Palestine" to “secure global trade, and billions of dollars are sent to the Zionist war machine" and to oppose the bombing of terrorists in Yemen.

Activists blocked Sea-Tac Airport in Washington, the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, and highways leading to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, among other roads and bridges in the US.

The protests were announced earlier this month, which had many asking why many law enforcement agencies were seemingly caught unprepared.
