Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff cheated on first wife with Ella's nanny, got her pregnant: report

Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, reportedly ended his first marriage after having an affair with the nanny who cared for his children, resulting in the nanny getting pregnant. 

The shocking revelation was reported by the Daily Mail. The former nanny, Najen Naylor, who is now 47 years old, did not deny the story when contacted by the Daily Mail. A source familiar with the affair and pregnancy revealed that the nanny did not keep the child. However, her social media from 2009 seemed to feature a baby girl named Brook, coinciding with the time the child would have been born.



Emhoff's marriage to his ex-wife, Kerstin Emhoff, ended after 16 years when she discovered the affair. At that time, their daughter was 10 and their son was 15.

Nayor, who worked as a teacher at the private elementary school in Culver City, California that Emhoff's children attended, was also employed as the couple's nanny. Following the affair, she left her teaching position. A source claimed that after the affair, Nayor had a financial settlement with Emhoff and quit her job at the school due to the scandal of the affair.

One mother whose children attended the school confirmed that she was aware of the affair. She added that while she was disgusted by Emhoff, she had positive words for Naylor who also taught her children and nannied for them while on family vacations.

When approached by the Daily Mail for comment about the relationship and the child, the former nanny declined, stating, "I'm kind of freaked out right now."

The growing publicity of this story is likely to cause widespread concern among the Harris campaign, as she is gearing up to formally accept her party’s nomination at the Democratic National Convention and is set to participate in a debate against Donald Trump in September.
