The final months of the Biden-Harris White House have turned out to be anything but sunshine and rainbows. There has been serious tension between First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and discussions in private settings have "at times been frosty," according to the Wall Street Journal

However, the feud between the two is not new. First Lady Jill Biden has harbored animosity towards Kamala Harris since she attacked President Biden by implying that he was racist on the 2019 debate stage during the 2020 Presidential Election campaign, according to sources that spoke to the outlet.

Since Harris' colossal defeat on November 5, Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, as well as VP Harris and her husband, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, have not gotten along behind closed doors and in plain sight. President Biden, 82, recently told reporters he would have won the election had he not been pressured to drop out of the race, which ended his 50-year political career.

During post-election appearances, Jill Biden has been photographed sitting next to Harris making as minimal eye. One insider told the paper, "Jill views Democrats on Capitol Hill, the [wider] party, the Obamas, staff inside and outside the White House, the media, and all of Washington, D.C. with such misguided resentment that I can't imagine she [isn't] encouraging [Joe] to burn the whole thing down."

When the audience stood to greet Harris and Emhoff at the Kennedy Center Honors in December, it was reported that neither Joe nor Jill Biden acknowledged them. The First Lady also wore a red jumpsuit on Election Day, a color designated to the Republican Party, which resulted in conservative commentators speculating whether or not she supported Trump this election cycle.

While Jill has been seemingly avoiding Kamala Harris, she was photographed smiling at President-elect Donald Trump during the grand reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris last month. Trump then used that photo to market his new cologne.

When reached for comment by the Daily Mail, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates denied that the First Lady and Vice President are on "frosty" terms. Additionally, Harris' spokesperson Kirsten Allen said that President Biden and VP Harris have "a friendship that extends to both of their spouses."
