A 45-year-old man was found dead after he assaulted and injured three women in their Mississauga home on Monday night.

Peel Regional Police say that they received a call for an assault on Monday night around 10:20pm. The call was to an apartment on Rathburn Road East near Ponytail Drive

According to CP24, three women in their 20s, 50s, and 80s, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after someone struck them with a non-edged weapon. They were all sent to hospital where they are now recovering.

Police say that this incident was not random, as the suspect knew the victims. After assaulting the women, investigators say he fled the apartment and committed suicide. Police later found his body in a nearby hydro corridor.
