Target is facing public scrutiny yet again after the retail giant seemingly doubled down on its pushing of far-left gender ideology after it was revealed that the company has a new self-proclaimed "Senior LGBTQIA+ Segmentation Strategist and Pride Lead" named Erik Thompson, also known as “GayCruella” on his Instagram page.

Thompson posted excitedly to social media upon receiving his new role, telling the world that he is here to "make trouble" and that it is now time to "rip that old world to shreds."

"Time to whip out the Glitter & Hellfire flamethrowers and rip that old world to shreds darlings," the self-described Target strategist posted on Instagram, per the Daily Wire. "Let’s flip that script and rewrite that narrative. This time for ~ALL Guests, ALL Humans & ALL Hearts."

"I Want to Make Art, Artie. And I Want to Make Trouble∼ ;)," Thompson wrote in another post caption.

Thompson's now-taken-down LinkedIn bio stated, "On a mission to lead in the effort of working to flip the script and rewrite the narrative of CPG retail industries to better serve all consumer segments and thoughtfully & authentically cater to *ALL guests, ALL humans, & ALL hearts* who enter our stores and across the nation."

It also included hashtags for #BlackLivesMatter, #TeamFeminism, #PrideforAll, #MentalHealthAwareness, and #DisabledAlly.

Thompson has had an extensive work history with the company, and has climbed up its corporate ladder for almost 10 years, according to his LinkedIn bio. He notably brags in one entry that he "Led Target’s 2019 Pride Business & inclusivity strategy to better serve our guests through diverse and inclusive collection offering, & remain as a loyal industry-leading leader within total Pride+ market, establishing brand love and credibility for total Target."

This comes after Target's stock plummeted in May, hitting its lowest point in almost 3 years amid widespread backlash over the corporation's pushing of LGBT merchandise upon children. In that week, the company's CEO Brian Cornell said it had lost a reported $9 billion. Numerous "emergency" calls between managers were reportedly held around that time, with district senior directors and managers being instructed to taper down the LGBTQ-themed products.

More recently, the retail giant announced at the end of September that it would be forced to shutter 9 of its stores across various Democrat-controlled cities in the US, citing issues of theft and organized retail crime.
