Democratic businessman Mark Cuban didn’t wait long to congratulate President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday morning, saying the Republican nominee won the election “fair and square” as soon as Trump was declared the victor. Cuban has never been anything but a critic of the former president.

Cuban also passed on his regards to Elon Musk, the multi-billionaire entrepreneur who has been a vital part of Trump’s campaign in the last few weeks as he appeared at several Trump rallies. Cuban was also a vital link between Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and the business community.

Cuban kept up his criticism of Trump throughout the campaign. He told the women of The View Thursday that no "strong, intelligent women" could possibly support Trump for president. Cuban’s comments were widely seen on social media, where he was lambasted by conservative women who rejected his insult. Trump called Cuban "a really dumb guy."

"Mark Cuban, a really dumb guy, who thinks he’s 'hot stuff' but he’s absolutely nothing, is now out there saying that I don’t surround myself with strong women. Actually, he is very wrong, I surround myself with the strongest of women - With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong. This guy is such a fool, he’s constantly on Television being critical, and only for the reason that I tuned him out completely while President because he called incessantly.

Even though he has been a constant critic of Trump, that hasn’t stopped Cuban from owing a $13.5 million condo in Trump Tower.

Jeff Bezos, the owner of The Washington Post and Amazon, also took to X to congratulate Trump on his victory. Bezos also refused to use The Post to endorse Harris for president.
