Ayala and Keys both face charges of murder with a deadly weapon, battery, and attempted murder in connection with the August 14 incident, which left Probst dead and two other men injured. The two are being charged as adults and have pleaded not guilty.
Footage from the courtroom shows the handcuffed teens sitting in their green prison outfits on either side of a long bench reserved for defendants. Aware that cameras were recording their every move, the pair hid their faces with their hands, before sticking out their middle fingers in the direction of the Probst family, according to the Daily Mail.
They were also seen speaking with one another, laughing, and smiling both while on the bench, and as they were escorted in and out of the room.
Probst's daughter, Taylor, went off on the teens, condemning their behavior.
"They really have no remorse. It's just a game to them," she said. "They really don't care if anyone else lives or dies; they don't care about themselves, if they live or die, and that can just be shown through their own actions."
"How can you just sit there after taking a man's life and act like such an entitled prick?" Taylor added, suggesting the teens' parents had failed to properly raise their children.
Ayala and Keys allegedly struck Probst, a retired police chief who served 35 years in the force, intentionally while he rode his bicycle in northwest Las Vegas. The entire incident was caught on camera and quickly made its way across social media, where the crime was universally condemned.
