“I lost all parental rights to my sons. Goodbye, boys. Perhaps, we will meet when you are adults."
A Texas father has lost custody of his twin sons while a judge has ruled his ex-wife can administer sex change drugs to one of them, the Daily Mail reported. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas has ruled that Jeff Younger’s ex-wife, Anne Georgulas can chemically castrate 12-year-old James, who now identifies as “Luna.”
Although Younger could visit his boys in “supervised visits,” the Texas man isn't going for that option. Instead, he expressed his profound sadness on X.
“I lost all parental rights to my sons. Goodbye, boys. Perhaps, we will meet when you are adults. California Judge Juhas gave my ex-wife authority to castrate my son, James. All contact with my boys must be supervised. I won't do that … Let my story be a cautionary one for young men. Fathers have no rights to their children. Do not enter the family law system.”:
Chemical castration occurs when a child is given puberty blockers to prevent his or her sexual development. The blockers are the beginning of a dependence on medication to ensure transitioning remains intact. The process is reversible but the negative effects of using blockers over a long period of time are not fully known.
Younger has pleaded with his ex-wife to not provide puberty blockers to their son. The father says Georgulas has encouraged the boy to transition, beginning with putting him in dresses. He says his ex-wife made the move to California in order to move ahead with gender reassignment.
The Texas court had previously decided that Georgulas could not move forward with a sex change operation and she had “freely acknowledged” that order. The Supreme Court of Texas had ruled in December 2022 that the ex-wife “lacks the legal authority to consent to such therapy,” the Mail noted.
Younger said he thinks that’s exactly why she moved out of Texas to the liberal state of California to take advantage of its new “sanctuary” law that welcomes transgender children and their families who leave “Alabama, Texas, Idaho or any other state criminalizing the parents of trans kids for allowing them to receive gender-affirming care.”
