We will soon find out whether Trudeau’s pathetic pandering and waste of taxpayer dollars wins him that coveted UN security council seat.
If it does, a few out-of-touch elites will claim it was "worth it." Yet, those of us who live in reality know that it is not worth it at all.
As many have noted, nothing will change even if Canada gets the seat. We will vote with our allies (the US, UK, France) in nearly all circumstances. All permanent members get a veto, meaning the US, the UK, France, China and Russia can simply counteract each other and block anything they disagree with.
Even if Canada rarely sided against our allies and voted with China (always possible under Trudeau), our allies would simply vote against it, cancelling it out.
Of course, that isn’t the real problem. The real problem is the massive amount of money and value capital Trudeau has wasted. Trudeau has pledged hundreds of millions (likely billions when it’s all added up) in foreign aid (also known as BRIBES) to foreign countries in an effort to buy votes.
All that money is money that is no longer available for Canadians, at a time when our economy is already in a dire situation, Canadians are suffering, and our budget deficit is surging.
Further, the money doesn’t even come with ironclad vote guarantees, so a country can take our money and then vote against us anyway.
In addition to wasting money, Trudeau has wasted our ‘value capital,’ sidling up to authoritarian states and dictators in an effort to get votes, throwing away Canada’s reputation as a nation that defends freedom, human rights, and democracy.
Again, all of this has been done for something that is worthless.
As a result, Canada has watched our tax dollars leave our country, and our values being thrown under the bus, all for what amounts to a Trudeau vanity project.
As you know very well, Trudeau is obsessed with international attention, and much prefers to be outside of Canada than actually doing the job of governing.
That’s why he wants the UN seat, because it will give him more excuses to fly around the world pretending he’s doing stuff.
Just imagine if Trudeau cared as much about Canadians as he does about the UN seat.
Regardless of whether Trudeau wins the seat or not, Canadians have already lost.
