President Donald Trump is reportedly considering joining a strike on Iran with Israel as he and other officials moved to a Situation Room meeting at the White House on Tuesday, Axios reported.

According to the outlet, Trump was slated to meet with his national security team on Tuesday after he made a few Truth Social posts that called for "unconditional surrender" from Iran. The strikes, if carried out by the US, may be targeted at Iran's underground uranium enrichment facility in Fordow, which the US has the capability to hit.

On Monday, Trump returned early from the G7 Summit meeting, leading to speculation that the US would get directly involved in the war. However, over the weekend, and on Monday evening, the White House signaled the US would not be directly involved.

When the president returned from the G7 Summit on Monday evening, he said that he wasn't interested in a "ceasefire" between Iran and Israel, but that there had to be "an end" to the conflict.

In three posts on Tuesday to Truth Social, the president said, "We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured 'stuff.' Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA," which was then followed by something of a threat to the leader of Iran.

"We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump posted, later adding, "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
