Cheers roared as former President Trump paid a visit to a Carvel ice cream shop in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California on Friday.

Chants of "build the wall," and "we need Trump" echoed throughout a plaza just outside of the ice cream parlor.

The former president made his appreciation for his fans known the day after his visit, in a post to Truth Social.

"Stopped by a Carvel in Westwood, California yesterday afternoon—great seeing everybody, thank you. MAGA!!!" Trump wrote online.

The visit came the same day Trump went to the city of Anaheim for the California Republican Party’s 2023 fall convention

He expressed his gratitude for the attendees of that appearance as well.

A sign inside of Carvel reportedly read, "CALIFORNIA IS TRUMP COUNTRY."

As he spoke inside Carvel, Trump discussed the crisis at the US-Mexico border along with other issues.

The former president declared that in order to counter the chaos the American people currently face, "Republicans are gonna have to get tough."
