Former President Donald Trump released a statement via his Save America PAC on Monday morning saying that he intends to refer to the 2020 presidential election as "the Big Lie."

He wrote: "The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE."

Trump has contended consistently that the election that brought the Biden administration into the White House was stolen from him. He believes that an effort was made in many battleground states to intentionally defraud the voting public and rig the election in favor of his opponent.

Democrats have been using the term the Big Lie to refer to basically the same thing, but in reverse, saying that it's Trump who has been lying about his loss being a stolen victory.
