Members of a vicious Venezuelan gang are suspected of infiltrating an illegal immigrant encampment in Washington state. Jose Ibarra, who is the prime suspect in the death of Laken Riley, has a brother who was linked to the gang.

A report from Turning Point USA’s Frontlines’ Jonathan Choe indicate that members of vicious Venezuelan Tren De Aragua (TDA) gang have infiltrated Riverton Park United Methodist Church illegal immigrant camp near Seattle.

According to an internal email sent out to Puget Sound Fire officials and obtained by Choe, in April the authorities warned first responders about the threat the gang posed, stating that firefighters are only allowed to enter the church grounds if they are accompanied by three police units after “increased activity” at the encampment.

The notice stated, “On April 4th, department members were informed by Tukwila PD that a prison gang known as Tren De Aragua (TDR) Criminal has infiltrated the refugee camp. This appears to be an increase in activity since December.” Emergency crews are also being advised to wear ballistic vests, per the report from Choe.

Pastor Jan Bollerjack told Frontlines that she is aware of the safety concerns but did not want to elaborate even as neighbors say there are numerous 911 calls to Riverton each week. Brad Harwood, a spokesperson for Tukwila, said the city has not obtained any confirmed reports of TDA at the church and claims that the police escorts are “primarily due to the large number of individuals at the encampment.”

Maurece Graham-Bey, an outreach worker who helped more illegal immigrants into area motels, told Choe there is no doubt that illegal immigrants associated with TDA are embedded at the encampment. Graham-Bey added that young men without anything to do all day at the encampment are being recruited into the gang.
