"Just as soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up."
The footage posted by a witness to the attack, Kind Bulter, showed several women beating up an employee behind a register. One woman held her down as two others hit her with closed fists on the ground. Another suspect stomped on the woman as she was held down on the ground. One of the women attacking the employee yelled during the chaos, "Where he at, b*tch!?!"
Other bystanders ran to help pull the woman in pink off the employee, and a male suspect also stomped on the employee as people tried to break it up. A co-worker to the employee was eventually able to get the victim to her feet.
The video did not show what led up to the attack, but Butler told Fox 59 that he heard the family of an alleged rape victim trying to identify someone connected to the attack.
"There wasn’t any questioning, no anything,” Butler said of the attack. “Just as soon as they saw the girl, the whole family came over and started beating her up.”
A police report stated that the woman who was beaten up by the group was identified as Tikerra Hicks. She had been getting calls that her friend had allegedly raped another friend of hers. When she came back to her post at the register after going to the bathroom, she was ambushed by the group.
“I just hear, ‘There she go’ and then boom on the side of my head I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks recounted. She wondered why she was the target of the attack. “(The alleged rape) have nothing to do with me,” Hicks added. “I wasn’t there, even if it did happen, to protect he. And I wasn’t there to defend him either."
Hicks is the "other person" in a police report that documented a rape investigation. But she said that the allegations are false. “I haven’t talked to any officers besides after the fight,” Hicks said.
