Bobby Dixon of Seattle says he was mistreated before being physically assaulted by an Ace Hardware employee because his friend didn't wear a mask inside the store. Dixon says he was returning to the store to speak to the manager after the sale associates were rude to him and that's when the store employee assaulted him with a baseball bat.

Dixon told KOMO News in Seattle that he and his friend went to Ace Hardware to purchase screws. Dixon said he wore a mask but his friend did not. Store employees told his friend to either put on a mask or get out, to which his friend responded by telling them he was fully vaccinated.

Dixon says the store employees responded by saying that was irrelevant and that the store policy was that everyone had to wear a mask. Dixon said his friend left and he proceeded to the cash register. Dixon said the store employee was still overly rude to him so he decided to leave. Dixon later returned to speak to the manager and that's when the video starts.

"It was actually quite terrifying," Dixon said. "I've never had anybody come at me with a weapon like that and it was flight or fight and I was trying to get out of there and he kept coming at me super aggressively."

Dixon said about the decision to return to the store: "You work in customer service and if you're going to be rude, I'm going to take your name down and give it to your boss." He finished by saying, "I was following the rules. I had my mask on, so to take it out on me, that's just kind of childish."

Although Dixon claimed he wore a mask inside the store, in the video he is not wearing one. Ace Hardware employees refused to comment to local news and the cooperate office has also been silent.

One of the Ace Hardware employees can be seen not wearing a mask inside the store at the beginning of the video yelling "F— you, F— you" at Dixon.

Seattle Police says authorities are struggling to sort through two very different stories. The store employee told police that he was attacked by both men, but in the video can only be seen fighting Dixon. The employees also told law enforcement that neither men were wearing masks.
