WATCH: Biden says those who earn less than $400,000 a year will not pay 'a single penny in taxes'

"I keep hearing in the press that Biden's gonna raise your taxes. Anybody making less than $400,000 a year will not pay a single penny in taxes," said Biden in what has to be a slip of the tongue.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden spoke at Tidewater Community College in Virginia on Monday, discussing the new American Families Plan.

The plan, which was announced several days ago, also came along with the American Jobs Plan, being dubbed "once-in-a-generation investments in our nation’s future" in an official White House statement.

That plan includes details on creating more free education opportunities, providing direct support to children and families.

What the plan does not include is what Biden said today, where he said that Americans earning less than $400,000 a year would not pay "a single penny in taxes."

Clearly, the president meant to say that Americans earning below that threshold would not pay a single penny more in taxes.

"I keep hearing in the press that Biden's gonna raise your taxes. Anybody making less than $400,000 a year will not pay a single penny in taxes. And we will not increase the deficit, either. Unlike the last gigantic tax cut that increased the deficit by two trillion dollars," said Biden.
