As masks become mandatory in Quebec, many are having a hard time adjusting to the new rules. On Saturday afternoon, a man who refused to wear a mask was tackled to the ground and arrested by police in a Montreal Tim Hortons.

A video of the incident was posted on Facebook by user Sandra Bourgoin and has since gone viral.

Montreal police confirmed that the incident took place at a Tim Hortons on Papineau Avenue in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension just after noon.

Police also confirmed that pepper spray was used during the incident. The man, who was Bourgoin's boyfriend, was released and will appear in court for resisting a police officer.
