A vehicle in Buffalo, New York drove through a group of police officers that were responding to protests as a result of George Floyd's murder, according to video captured and published by NBC News.

The video captures a disturbing incident involving officers trying to run out of the way of an SUV that is speeding through an intersection, the SUV can be seen accelerating as it approaches them.

The SUV hit two police officials, one was a Buffalo police officer and the other was a New York state trooper, The Blaze reports.

Brown said the two officers have been admitted to Erie County Medical Center and both remain in stable condition.

The Mayor of Buffalo, Bryon Brown, told local news outlet WGRZ-TV, that in addition to the two police officers, two civilians were shot as well close by following the incident. They are believed to have been in the SUV that ran over the police officers. Once of the suspects was taken to hospital and the other has been taken into custody.

"There was no altercation that precipitated the vehicle mowing into police officers, but that is still under investigation," said Brown.
