A whistleblower Ontario teacher has written an anonymous public letter that criticizes the province's curriculum and the way Canada now teaches children.

The letter was published on Substack. The teacher said they penned this letter after an Ontario court decided that it was unconstitutional to require teachers to display their ability to do math.

The teacher called this recent decision a "a wake-up call for me," going on to say it was "judicial activism."

The teacher said that there were three pervasive ideologies in Canadian education. The first of these is "the myth of academic integrity," the second is "the false prophet of equity," and finally the teacher discussed the "teacher quality fable."

When the teacher discussed the first of these ideologies, he said that "students who copy, plagiarize, or cheat are no longer punished."

Ontario, he argued, now allow students to graduate "imposters while [we're] camouflaging our inadequacies by awarding the much expected participation ribbon for all."

On the second ideology, the teacher said that "the false prophet of equity negatively impacts basic academic tenants of freedom of speech and anti-censorship."

Finally, the teacher discussed the teacher quality fable, saying "the entire premise for the changes to the math curriculum and the recent news from Ontario's court is reflective of Karl Marx's Conflict theory."
