"Ladies and Gentlemen of America," Freedom said, "the moment you've all been waiting for! The WNBA has officially responded!"
The WNBA has been outspoken about the need for what they call "inclusivity," meaning allowing men who claim to be women to play in women's athletic competition. This has been an issue for women and girls in middle schools, high schools, and universities. In fact, when Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham spoke out in favor of protecting women's sports, she was treated to abuse and vitriol from others in the league. Even her own coach spoke up against her stand for women's rights.
But apparently, bringing a man who claims to be a woman, such as Freedom, into the WNBA is a bridge too far for the League that doesn't know what a woman is.
"Ladies and Gentlemen of America," Freedom said, "the moment you've all been waiting for! The WNBA has officially responded!"
"Is the WNBA transphobic?" He asked. "Apparently, the WNBA still can't define what a woman is, but they're absolutely certain they know what a man is! How convenient!"
Freedom went out for the draft after Cunningham told ESPN she supported protecting free and fair competition for women and girls—then suffered exorbitant backlash for her position. Freedom, along with former NBA player Royce White, put the WNBA to the test when they declared themselves female and went out for the draft.
The going "wisdom" from the trans activist contingent is that a woman is "anyone who says that she is." They tend to believe that children and babies can know they were born in the wrong body even if they don't know how to say it and that children who say they are the opposite sex should be prevented from going through puberty by being drugged and put on cross sex hormones.
"WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert has declared that I am a man," Freedom said. "Who gave her the authority to decide who I am? Who gets to define my identity? And how can the WNBA determine who is a man without explaining what qualifies someone as a woman?"
"Is the WNBA denying people the right to define their own gender identity? You can't have it both ways!" He shared the letter, too, saying, "The WNBA has some explaining to do!"
After discussing fans, fouls, and ejections from arenas, as Freedom was ejected from a game and his courtside seats, they got to the question of eligibility: "With respect to your questions regarding eligibility, only women are eligible to play in the WNBA and the individuals you cite in your letter are both men."
The WNBA, in proclaiming inclusivity and then rejecting Freedom's bid for the draft, has shown complete hypocrisy. On one hand, they say that anyone who claims to be a woman is one, while on the other they declare that Freedom isn't one. It reveals that they don't believe what they say they do and know that despite their declarations, they know those assertions are lies.
