Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published a video showing he is still physically present in the city of Kyiv on Friday, putting an end to rumors that he had fled the country.

"Zelensky stays in #Kyiv. He recorded a video on Bankova Street along with other statesmen of #Ukraine. Thus, he refuted the misinformation of Russian propagandists about his alleged escape from the city," reads a tweet by Nexta.

Zelensky appears in the video with four of his cabinet members. They are all on Bankova Street, as Nexta had mentioned. They are all standing right outside the Ukrainian Presidential Administration Building.

Zelensky names the cabinet members behind him. He then says "We are here. We are in Kyiv. We are defending Ukraine." He closes the brief statement with the traditional "slava Ukraini" which means "glory to the Ukraine."

President Zelensky reportedly also had a phone call with US President Joe Biden on Wednesday, but the transcripts have not been made available to the public as of yet.
