British WWII Veteran Captain Tom Moore has just been named one of the men of the year by GQ Magazine, in the "inspirational" category.
Captain Moore has been making waves all year with his charitable work, and ther world is taking notice of his good deeds.
According to the Daily Mail, the gallant centenarian left his walker to go running to accept the prestigious award in a show of valour.
Captain Moore, who was stationed in Burma in WWII, had started a scheme of running around his garden (usually with his walker as assistance) in order to raise funds for the NHS, in gratitude for the difficult time they have had this year, having to undergo the risk of working in the middle of a pandemic.
Amazingly, this one 100-year-old man has managed to single-handedly raise almost 33 million GBP with his efforts.
This has been a banner year for Captain Moore. Earlier he was knighted by the Queen herself in a private ceremony held at Windsor Castle, and among his other incredible life accomplishments, he now holds the title of Knight Bachelor.
