11-year-old boy on bike dies after accident with car near Highway 407 in Ontario

Police say the boy was riding a bicycle across the highway on-ramp when the child was struck at around 4 pm.

An 11-year-old boy has died following a collision with a motor vehicle near Highway 407 in Markhan on Thursday.

Police say the boy was riding a bicycle across the highway on-ramp when the child was struck at around 4 pm.

The boy later died in hospital.

The driver of the vehicle did not flee the scene, though police are asking for potential witnesses to come forward.
