Two illegal aliens who repeatedly returned to the United States after being deported have each been sentenced to six months in federal prison, with deportation expected to follow their prison terms.

First Assistant US Attorney Charles Neil Floyd announced that Alberto Figeroa-Luque, 45, a Mexican national, and Fredy Ottoniel Alonzo Carcamo, 54, a Guatemalan national, were taken into federal custody after separate arrests on state crimes. US District Judge Tana Lin, who imposed the sentences, noted that both men had returned to the country multiple times without authorization. “Those here illegally who are breaking our laws and making our communities unsafe remain a priority for our office,” Floyd said in a statement. He added that while many people arrested in similar cases are removed before prosecutors can secure convictions, these two cases were examples of defendants arrested under the administration’s priorities.

Court records show Figeroa-Luque was first ordered removed to Mexico in 2012 and has been deported four additional times since then. He came to the attention of federal law enforcement after Marysville, Washington police arrested him for knowingly using a controlled substance in a public place. During a search of his backpack, officers found cocaine, fentanyl, and a semi-automatic handgun with a loaded magazine, according to the case records. Following his state arrest, Figeroa-Luque was transferred to federal custody on a judicial warrant. In December 2025, he pleaded guilty to reentry of a removed alien.

In Alonzo Carcamo’s case, records show he was convicted in King County Superior Court in February 2007 of attempted voyeurism. He was ordered deported in July 2007, though removal did not occur at that time. In February 2020, he was convicted of first-degree voyeurism in King County Superior Court after being caught peering through a broken blind at a woman and a young child at about 4 am, prosecutors said. He was removed to Guatemala in July 2021.

Authorities said Alonzo Carcamo was arrested in Arizona in September 2021 for unlawfully entering the United States and was removed again in February 2022. In November 2025, he was arrested in King County and charged with failing to register as a sex offender. He was transferred from state to federal custody on a judicial warrant and, in December 2025, pleaded guilty to reentry of a removed alien.

Both men were sentenced to six months in federal prison. Prosecutors said they are expected to be deported after completing their sentences.
