San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins has announced charges against 26 agitators who participated in an anti-Israel blockade of the Golden Gate bridge in April, shutting down the bridge and blocking traffic for hours.

“Some charged w/ felony conspiracy, false imprisonment, etc. Arrest warrants issued,” Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin posted on X.

“Victims include someone missing a pre-op brain surgery appointment to remove a brain tumor, a surgeon who had to cancel and reschedule their entire surgery schedule for the day, and a disabled child being stuck on a school bus for four hours on the bridge. Hundreds were trapped on the bridge against their will. Some serious charges here via SFDA Brooke Jenkins - who has taken a tougher on crime approach following the recall of former SFDA Chesa Boudin.”

Jenkins’ approach to law enforcement has been a massive departure from that of the last two occupants of the DA’s office, George Gascón, who now serves as DA in Los Angeles, and Chesa Boudin, who were generally seen to favor the criminals and not the victims of crime.

After the pro-Palestine agitators blocked the bridge, Jenkins announced that anyone who was trapped or delayed as a result of the action should seek restitution from San Francisco law enforcement, which she said did nothing to stop the blockade. She said the affected “victims” who were subjected to this form of false imprisonment “may be entitled to restitution and have other victims’ rights.”

Jenkins made the announcement at a press conference and said after the protest was cleared and the bridge reopened that she was considering charges against the protesters. She has made good on her promise.

Anti-Israel protests continue to dot the United States as the war in Gaza continues, though they have abated sicne the end of the school year. Protests began in Times Square immediately following the assassinations of two Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Radicals burned American flags and displayed pictures of dead Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and the current Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Some of the demonstrators were seen carrying Hamas and Al-Qassam flags.

Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly reached out to the anti-Israeli far left because so many have deserted the Biden administration. Former President Trump has said that Democrats hate Israel and anyone who doesn't should be voting for him.
