A large group of people wreaked havoc on three NYPD police cars early Sunday morning during an apparent car meet-up in Queens, New York, damaging the vehicles. At least three people from the incident have been arrested.

The chaos happened along Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park at around 1 am on Sunday, where the crowd surrounded the cop cars responding to the car meet-up, the New York Post reported.

Video of the chaos was posted online, showing one person smashing a police car windshield with a traffic cone as others taunted, smacked, and leaned on the law enforcement vehicles. Other agitators also jumped on the cars, kicked the vehicles, and threw cones at the police cruisers.

The NYPD posted on X, “WANTED for RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT/CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 3/30/25, at 12:50 AM, near Rockaway Blvd and 97th Avenue, a group of individuals recklessly operated multiple vehicles and vandalized three NYPD vehicles.” No injuries were reported from the incident.

"We will not tolerate lawlessness or vandalism aimed at the police. Last night in Queens, we arrested several individuals for crimes that endangered our cops and our streets. Rest assured, we'll be back soon for the rest of them,” NYC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch wrote on X.

Among those arrested was 23-year-old Jordi Montesquieu from Massachusetts, who was charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing from police, and obstruction, the outlet reported.

Tyler Newman, 18, from New Hampshire, was charged with obstructing governmental administration. 18-year-old Tristian Nandram was also charged with criminal mischief, obstruction, possession of stolen property, and petty larceny. Nandram allegedly stole a bag containing paperwork from a police car, the outlet reported, citing sources.

Authorities are still searching for other suspects involved in the crimes.
