On Friday, Antifa and far-left extremists attacked Helium Comedy Club in Portland, Oregon, with large explosive fireworks and protest in an attempt to shut down hardcore leftist Michael Rapaport's show due to his support for Israel.
Video from the event shared on X, shows a line of police officers outside the club preventing the organization from attacking it, while attendees were harassed as they entered the show.
Another clip with "PDX hates Michael Rapaport" captioned on the screen shows a large firework being lit and thrown away from the crowd that had gathered.
The demonstration was organized by the Bash the Fash account on X, which put a call to action out on social media attempting to get Helium Comedy Club to cancel the event. The flyer had a picture of Rapaport with X's over his eyes in an apparent threat to the comedian.
"Call, email, & message Helium Comedy Club to let them know that we do not want comedians who call for genocide of an entire people (including children) performing in our community," the flyer read. "If this show is not canceled, be prepared to show up to protest at Helium Comedy Club."
Rapaport responded by posting the flyer on Instagram with the caption, "These promo flyers are so fantastic for my shows in PORTLAND this Friday-Sunday at the @heliumcomedypdx." He added, "Come to the show & have a ball , [sic] because I’m absolutely treating these ones like a party!!!!"
Since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas, Rapaport has used his social media platform to defend the country. In a post on Friday, he said, "Only ISRAEL would have to defend itself in the International Court Of Jerkoffs while 133 Hostages are still in captivity."
The notoriously Trump-hating actor admitted in November that he would vote for former President Donald Trump over Joe Biden to get the Israel-Hamas conflict under control. "If it comes down to pig dick Donald Trump and smokin' Joe Biden, I'm sorry—I am sorry— voting for pig dick Donald Trump is on the table. I'm sorry. I'm f*ckin sorry. I'll still call him slob dick Donald Trump, and pig dick Donald Trump, and all that. But we've got to get this whole f*ckin situation under control," he said.
He also took to social media to bash the young Americans who were posting love letters to Osama bin Laden's 2002 "Letter to America." He challenged them to go read the letter at the homes of police, firefighters, and everyday citizens who lost their lives on 9/11.
