Enter through the Coffee house or through the unmarked door in the alley. Special Password 8647."
The September 9 event, called the “Mingling Liberally Happy Hour,” is being hosted by Democrats of Greater Tucson and Legislative District 20 Democrat politicians. It is being touted as an event for participants to “relax, connect and make a difference.”
In an email for the event obtained by Arizona State Rep Rachel Keshel, organizers state that “You go down the hallway and give the password '86 47,' but you didn’t get that from us.” The event will be held at the Old Pueblo Club Speakeasy in the Sonoran House.
An event page similarly states, “Sonoran House, Old Pueblo Club Speakeasy is Tucson's latest cool place to gather. Low lights with masterclass cocktails of top-shelf spirits and fresh ingredients. Enter through the Coffee house or through the unmarked door in the alley. Special Password 8647,” with a winking face emoticon.
Speaking at the event is Arizona State Treasurer Nick Mansour, along with LD20 candidates Sally Ann Gonzales and Betty Villegas, as well as “more candidates and public officials.”
Keshel wrote, “Why are the Greater Democrats of Tucson and LD 20 Democrats using 86 47 as their passcode for this event? Why is the left encouraging the assassination of political opponents? This is very unsettling and completely unacceptable.”
The terms “8647” and “86ing Trump” have been used by Democrats in reference to eliminating Trump. Failed Democrat Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong had claimed that it’s “about fucking time we 86 Trump.” The term “8647” was marked into the grass near the Washington Monument in Washington, DC just days before the UFC Freedom 250 event in June. Former FBI Director James Comey was hit with federal charges over a post to social media including the term.
