President Joe Biden was seen relaxing his way through another day at his favorite Delaware beach Wednesday, during a second consecutive week of vacation and absence from the White House.

The outgoing president enjoyed the sun and surf for about two hours on the North Shores near Rehoboth Beach, DE, with first lady Jill Biden and two of her sisters.

Biden appeared very relaxed, wearing swim trunks, a white T-shirt and black cap while lounging on a beach chair, apparently looking at documents, perhaps even official ones, the New York Post reported.

When Biden pulled the plug on his run for a second presidential term, he pledged to spend his remaining time in the Oval Office attuned to policies that he still hoped to promote. But he hasn’t been near the White House in 10 days and likely won’t be back soon, with Labor Day weekend approaching.

Biden hasn’t been to the office since Aug. 19 when he left for the Democratic Convention in Chicago. Biden’s late-night speech at the DNC was the last act in a play of Democratic infighting that has left Biden as a lame-duck president.

After his speech, an angry tirade against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in which he repeated several hoaxes about the former president, Biden appeared shaken and had difficulty getting off Air Force One when the plane landed in California.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the speech not only marked his parting words to the Democratic faithful, but the convention itself may have marked an irreparable split between himself and Pelosi, whom Biden had already said had pushed him out of the Democratic presidential race in a national interview. That statement was at odds with his contention, days earlier, that “no one influenced” his decision to drop out, when he said he decided not to run so the Democrats could focus on House and Senate races.

But after speaking for perhaps the last time before a DNC, he left Chicago and flew to Santa Ynez, Calif., staying at the $37 million estate of Joe Kiani, CEO of medical technology company Masimo, the Post noted.

Biden’s West Coast vacation lasted until Sunday, when he returned to Delaware’s Rehoboth Beach and his vacation cottage. Biden is planning to stay at least until Friday.

On Labor Day, Biden plans to attend a rally in Pittsburgh, PA for Vice President Kamala Harris, who grabbed the presidential nomination from him. It will be the first time the two have campaigned together since Biden left the race.
