One Secret Service agent reportedly helped Biden get into the SUV after he was seen "visibly shaking" coming down from the plane.
According to the Daily Mail, as Biden was getting off Air Force One, he was walking slowly down the steps and struggled to step into an SUV that would then take him to an 8,000-acre Santa Barbara ranch for a week-long vacation. He had reportedly been awake for about 24 hours at that point which as the outlet reported left the president "visibly shaking" as he traveled down the steps of the plane. One Secret Service agent reportedly helped Biden get into the SUV.
First Lady Jill Biden appeared concerned for Joe's safety as he arrived in the state, leaving behind the DNC, not even sticking around for Vice President Kamala Harris' acceptance speech on Thursday.
He spoke at the DNC the evening before, leaving the stage at 12:15 am, when most in the country had long gone to sleep. During the four-hour plane ride out to California, Biden listened to foreign security briefings for much of the ride and did not stop to rest.
In the days following when the president was shaking from exhaustion, his public schedule has been nearly blank, only taking daily briefings and out-of-town pool calls.
Many Americans have wondered if Biden is even fit to stay in office, and a report from Seymour Hersh revealed that Barack Obama and Harris threatened Biden with the 25th Amendment if he didn't drop out of the 2024 race.
