'Lyin' Kamala' needs to answer if Biden is fit to serve as president: Trump

In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris has been lying to the American public about President Joe Biden's mental decline and added that she needs to answer if Biden is still fit to serve as the president. 

"Does Lyin’ Kamala Harris think Joe Biden is fit to run the USA for the next six months? She must answer the question. Now it appears Joe is delegating his Presidential Authority to unelected Washington Bureaucrats! He doesn’t even trust his Vice President. WHO IS RUNNING THE COUNTRY?" Trump posted. 



Vice President Kamala Harris has not commented on President Joe Biden's fitness to remain as president, Fox News has reported. The news from the outlet comes after there has been speculation over Biden's health over the last several days without a public appearance aside from a phone call to Harris and the campaign in Delaware.  

According to the outlet, reporters attempted to reach out to Harris repeatedly over the question of whether or not Biden is fit to serve as president. Harris is also the one capable of invoking the 25th Amendment if Biden is physically capable of serving it in that capacity.  

Biden dropped out of the president's race on Sunday over X with a letter published on the platform, however, aside from the phone call to Harris and the campaign team, Biden has not been seen by the public. In the call, Biden said, "The name has changed at the top of the ticket, but the mission hasn't changed at all. And by the way I'm not going anywhere." 

Biden said in the call that it was the "right decision" for him to drop out of the race and told the campaign to embrace Harris as the new candidate for president. Late on Monday, Harris obtained enough delegates in order to become the presumptive nominee ahead of the Democratic National Convention, according to an AP survey.  

Biden still has not made a public appearance since last week, when he was reportedly diagnosed with Covid-19. On Monday, White House doctor Kevin O'Connor wrote a letter, saying, "President Biden completed his tenth dose of PAXLOVID this morning. His symptoms have almost resolved completely. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear."
