President Joe Biden has awarded Hillary Clinton, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and George Soros the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This comes just before Biden is set to leave office after the last few weeks of his lame-duck presidency.

Clinton, Nye, and Soros are included on the list of "nineteen individuals" that Biden says "are great leaders who have made America and the world a better place."

According to a news release from the Biden White House, the award for Clinton is for her making "history many times over decades in public service," such as being the "first First Lady elected to the United States Senate."

The award for Clinton is set to be given just a couple weeks before her former rival for the presidency, Donald Trump, will take his second term in office. Clinton was also the first woman chosen to be a major United States political party's presidential nominee.

For Soros, the left-wing billionaire political donor, the statement summarized his accolades, "George Soros is an investor, philanthropist, and founder of the Open Society Foundations. Through his network of foundations, partners and projects in more than 120 countries, Soros has focused on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education, and social justice."

Soros is known for funding far-left judicial appointments as well as soft-on crime district attorneys, like Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. He has also been linked to Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill and others.

William "Bill" Nye, was also chosen to get a medal. Most known for being "Bill Nye the Science Guy," Biden stated that he has "inspired and influenced generations of American students." As of late, though, Nye has become more politically activist in his bent, often vouching for Democratic politicians and has come out against gender being binary. After he did so in 2017, Netflix removed an episode where he previously said that biological sex was based on chromosomes, according to the Independent.

Other people included on the list of 19 getting the medal include Lionel Messi, the "most decorated player in the history of professional soccer." As well as Magic Johnson, who is a "legendary retired basketball player who led the Los Angeles Lakers to five championships." The statement added about Johnson, "Off the court, he is a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist who supports underserved communities through his Magic Johnson Foundation."
