With the California recall election day only a week away, the Biden administration’s top people are said to be making themselves present and available for Gavin Newsom in California.

According to Fox News, President Biden is anticipated to show up to California next week, right before the day of the September 14th recall election.

The news came via White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. She had time to answer questions from reporters on Air Force One as it traveled to New York and New Jersey this Tuesday.

"He will be, I expect we’ll have more to report to all of you, or announce, on a trip he’ll take early next week," said Psaki.

Vice President Kamala Harris is now scheduled for a visit to the Bay Area this week, on Wednesday. She was previously expected to campaign with Newsom last month, but those plans were cancelled because of the Kabul suicide bombing that killed thirteen Americans.

In the take by the New York Post, they mention political chatter surrounding worries of Newsom’s odds. The pandemic restrictions made by the current California Governor may shape up to challenge his future in the office.

The stakes are high in California’s governor recall race. Republican candidate Larry Elder is seen as a Newsom challenger. Enough that on Labor Day a California professor called him "the black face of white supremacy" at a Newsom rally.

In mid-August police found "more than 300" mail-in ballots (unopened) in the car of someone who turned out to be a wanted felon. Authorities caught him sleeping in his car outside a 7-Eleven, recovering a gun and drugs alongside the cache of stolen mail.

With the case of the mail thief there seemed to be no signs of tampering or interference. Replacement ballots were sent out to those impacted by the incident.

However election security experts are nonetheless calling for a "rigorous audit" in light of the 2020 Presidential election’s aftermath. Forty California counties use Dominion voting machines and there’s concerns over potential compromise with "the release of the Dominion Software into the wild."

Other leading leftist figures, like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, have also been vocal in their support of Newsom.
