On Tuesday, Joe Biden announced his first in-person public appearance since dropping out of the 2024 presidential race. The commander in chief will address the nation at 8pm EST on Wednesday.

Since being diagnosed with Covid last week, Biden has been holed up at his home in Rehoboth, Delaware. Despite the fact that presidential physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor recently noted that Biden's symptoms have "almost resolved completely," and that all his vitals are "absolutely normal," his only appearance has been a call-in to Kamala Harris' campaign event on Monday.

“Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office," Biden wrote in a post on X, explaining that he will discuss "what lies ahead, and how [he] will finish the job for the American people."

During the aforementioned call-in, Biden said that COVID-19 would keep him "out of people's hair for the next three or four days," but that he was "not going anywhere," and would be "out on the campaign with [Harris] working like hell."

"I won't be on the ticket, but I'm still gonna be fully, fully engaged," Biden added. "I've still got six months left in my presidency, and I'm determined to get as much done as I possibly can, both foreign policy and domestic policy."
