A shooting at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago during a White Socks game on Friday night left two women injured, and blood in the stands. Police are investigating, and it's not clear yet if the gunshots came from in the stands or outside the stadium.

Two people were confimred to be injured. A 42-year-old woman with a gun shot to her leg and a 26-year-old woman with a graze wound to her abdomen, per a statement from the Chicago Police Department.

The game continued after the incident, which happened during the third inning of the game, left of center field, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

After the game, signage posted by the White Sox cited "technical issues" and fans were ushered out of the stadium prior to the post-game concert that had been planned.

Video from inside the stadium shows a group of people halfway up the lane right of the State Farm sponsor sign. About four or five get up out of their seat and look towards the ground.

This is about halfway up section 161 in the stadium in center-left field.

According to reporting from the AP, police have not been able to confirm if the shots came from inside or outside the stadium itself.

The statement said, “Upon receiving notification of this incident, CPD responded immediately and deployed additional resources while coordinating with White Sox security to maintain the safety of those who were in attendance or working at the game."

In a statement from the White Sox team, it stated that the two fans suffered "non-life threatening injuries after being struck by bullets," but did not disclose more details surrounding the event.

The team added that the shooting "did not involve an altercation of any kind" and that the events will be investigated by the Chicago Police Department.

"The White Sox are thinking of the victims at this time and wishing them a speedy recovery," the team said.
