On Friday, California Democrat Nancy Pelosi announced that she will be running for reelection in 2024.

Pelosi announced on X, "Now more than ever our City needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recovery. Our country needs America to show the world that our flag is still there, with liberty and justice for ALL. That is why I am running for reelection — and respectfully ask for your vote."

Pelosi is currently 83 years old and will be 84 at the time of the election, making her one of the oldest members of Congress. She will be 86 at the time of the 2026 elections. 86-year-old Grace Napolitano is the oldest member of the House, while 90-year-old Dianne Feinstein is the oldest member of the Senate.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
