"They throw water on me, they assault me, you got the cops here, they don't do anything about it."
Comedian Alex Stein was assaulted on Friday at a Transgender Day of Visibility event held in New York City's Union Square as Stein was filming amongst the crowd.
In the video Stein navigated the crowd and said, "They throw water on me, they assault me, you got the cops here, they don't do anything about it" and then a person from the crowd spat directly at Stein. "They just spit on me. They just literally spit on me," Stein added.
Stein said he made the video with another man, Dontarius, who he claimed was his "wife's boyfriend."
Earlier at the event Stein entered the main area where the group of activists had gathered and said, "Hey! Children cannot consent! You guys are all sick. Children cannot consent, you guys are disgusting. I'm here with my wife's boyfriend. Children cannot consent! Children cannot consent!"
As Stein was saying that children cannot consent to life-changing puberty blockers and sex-change surgeries, the group grabbed him and forcefully pulled him out of the area. One protestor stole Stein's hat.
Video shows that Stein was pushed, shoved, and hit multiple times by the crowd after they pulled him out of the main area.
As he walked away, Stein had a protester throw coffee on him and then another shove him several times.
In another moment a protestor said Stein wanted to be spit on and Stein said he was an "idiot" and a "loser" and observed that he was short.
"NYPD you see the coffee, you see them throwing it on me. You don't do a damn thing about it cause you protect groomers, these NYPD, they care about groomers," Stein said.
Stein continued to have several interactions with the activists. One activist said "I'm mad at you" to Stein. Another, older protestor, said, "F*ck you and anybody that works for you."
Stein explained to one activist that Lupron, a drug that is used for chemical castration, was given to children.
"Just because you're gay and weird doesn't mean that you're right," Stein said to one protestor who waved a rainbow colored flag in his face.
"It's okay to be gay, don't cut your penis off today," Stein chanted at another group.
"I will break your face," one masked protester said to Stein while hiding behind an umbrella.
'Oh, you're gonna break my face," Stein said. "Oh I'm so scared of a p*ssy like you."
