"Blinken, you have blood on your hands! Murderer."
Blinken and Loyd's testimony centered on the White House's $106bn (£87.4bn) national security funding request for Israel, BBC reports.
"Stop the brutal, brutal massacre in Gaza…Ceasefire now! Ceasefire now," shouted one woman.
"Blinken, you have blood on your hands! Murderer," yelled another.
"I also hear very much the passions expressed in this room and outside this room. All of us are committed to the protection of civilian life," Blinken said upon restarting his testimony, according to the Daily Mail.
The protesters were kicked out of the building, and many held up red-painted hands.
Israel reported that it had killed dozens of Hamas terrorists during an intense bought of fighting inside Gaza just before the hearing had begun, per the outlet.
The IDF has said it has struck around 300 targets and confiscated "numerous weapons" including guns, bombs, and even "military compounds inside underground tunnels" run by Hamas terrorists, per the Daily Mail.
This comes after Palestinian terror group Hamas launched an attack on Israel starting Oct. 7, killing a least 1,300 people, after which Israel declared war and retaliated.
Police reported that 12 people have been arrested for illegally protesting while in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, according to BBC. Some of those seen crashing the hearings were affiliated with a left-wing, women-focused anti-war group called CODEPINK.
Reuters reported that Blinken said around 400 US citizens and family members, totaling up to 1,000, are trapped in Gaza and hope to escape. The government has not figured out how to get them out, per Blinken.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
