The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro launched a new show called Facts, and the first episode details the insidious global liberal censorship complex.

"There's a group of people," he begins, "who control what you are allowed to see." He's talking, of course, about the global cabal that runs and implements fact checks, content moderation, and online speech regulations.

He discusses the insidious collaboration between global, powerful influential non-governmental organizations that partner with fact-check not-for-profits to push a worldview and a set of ideas that those large groups want to use to transform the world toward compliance with their own ethos.

This is not only through these groups pressuring content moderators online, but also pressuring advertisers to only place ads with outlets that have appropriate ratings from these groups. There has been a noted difference between the ratings for most conservative sights and liberal sites. Many conservatives have noted that liberal sites, such as Buzzfeed, have a high rating despite having published actual disinformation, such as the Steele Dossier.

The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) members represent brands that control 90 percent of advertising dollars worldwide. It was in 2019, the WFA launched the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) and partnered with the World Economic Forum (WEF). This group facilitates the pressuring of news agencies, through their various arms and members, to not publish perspectives that go against their collective, progressive, anti-populist viewpoints.

GARM members don’t just include the advertisers, but also the big tech platforms like Meta, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat and more. GARM created the Brand Safety Floor & Suitability Framework, which dictates what media is deemed safe or suitable for advertising.

NewsGuard ‘helps’ advertisers abide by GARM standards and issues ratings to media using what they claim is apolitical criteria. GARM and the WFA have been issued a subpoena by Congressman Jim Jordan over concerns that they “appear to facilitate collusion among their members in a manner that may violate US antitrust laws.”
