Hunger Games star McKenna Grace won't go nude on screen because her 'dream is to be a Disney princess someday'
"I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things."

Actress McKenna Grace told Cosmopolitan that she has no interest in taking on roles where she would have to be nude, in large part because she aspires to be a Disney princess one day. Grace in on a press tour for her upcoming film “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.”
“I’m curious—are there any roles, inside or outside of fandoms, that you’d say no to?” Grace was asked.
“At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things,” she said. “I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change. It’s not like I only do wholesome things—my character literally gets gutted by Ghostface in ‘Scream’—but my dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.”
She was also asked, “Over the years, how did you navigate the transition between ‘kid on set’ to ‘adult on set’?”
“As a kid on set,” she said, “you’re expected to act like an adult until you’re on camera. Then you’re a kid until everybody is mad at you because you’re acting like a kid. Now it’s cool to be an adult and be able to give my opinion and have a bit more ownership over characters. I’ve really enjoyed sitting down with producers and pitching all my ideas.”
Grace began acting commercially when she was just 5 years old and then starred in Gifted with Chris Evans in 2017, which was considered her breakthrough role. She received an Emmy nomination for her guest performance in The Handmaid’s Tale. She plays Maysilee Donner in The Hunger Games.
Grace is far from the only actress who declines to do nude scenes. Megan Fox won’t take those roles for the sake of her children. “I don’t think my boys could handle that,” she said.
Others choose more artistic reasons to turn down those roles. For Anna Kendrick, her nude body is her own and giving access to that to her character makes it harder to tell one from the other. Julia Roberts famously said “I won’t do nudity in a film. To act with my clothes on is a performance. To act with my clothes off is a documentary.”
Sarah Jessica Parker has a no-nudity clause in her contracts. Others decline to go nude because of their own feelings of insecurity surrounding their bodies. Samuel L. Jackson said if he had to do one he “might ask for a dick double.”
