On Sunday, X labeled a post from Iran's Supreme Leader Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei a violation of the platform's rules, but allowed it to remain on the site because "it may be in the public's interest for the post to remain accessible."

In a post about the attack on Israel by Hamas militants, the Iranian leader said, "God willing, the cancer of the usurper Zionist regime will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces throughout the region."

X owner Elon Musk responded to the post by noting that "Khamenei’s official position is clear that the eradication of Israel is the actual goal, not just supporting Palestinians."

"That will not happen. All that actually happens, decade after decade, is a never-ending cycle of violence and vengeance," he added. "Stoking the fires of hatred isn’t working. Perhaps it is time to consider something else."

On Sunday, reports showed that Iran helped plan the attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel. "The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps gave the final go-ahead last Monday in Beirut," said the Wall Street Journal.

Senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist organizations cited in the report noted that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had been assisting in the planning for the attack since August.

On Saturday, Hamas Militants attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip by air, land, and sea. The attack left over 600 people dead and 2,000 injured. A music festival was the site of the largest killings with 260 bodies recovered from the location.

Israel's UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan said of the attack "This is Israel's 9/11," and vowed to do "everything to bring our sons and daughters back home."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a declaration of war for the first time since 1973 and vowed to use the military to destroy Hamas' capabilities. “All the places that Hamas hides in, operates from, we will turn them into ruins,” he said.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
