Ontario Premier Doug Ford held a press conference on Monday, providing clarity on vaccine targets and the province's reopening plan.
Premier Ford, when asked about rules surrounding unvaccinated healthcare workers needing to provide a negative COVID test, said that he does not "believe in forcing anyone to et a vaccination that doesn't want it."
"If you aren't getting it, some of the hospitals have an education video that you need to watch. These are really smart people, and they know right from wrong. I just encourage them to please, just get vaccinated. There's very few of them, but still, we'd love to see 100 percent."
On the new rules from the University Health Network: Premier Ford says he supports the requirement that unvaccinated healthcare workers should get a negative COVID test before work.

Ford also provided updates on why the province has not yet released a plan on school re-openings in September.
"The kids are going to be going back to school," said Ford, "even if I have to get on that school bus and drive it myself."
The premier continued to say that the plan, which he called "great and comprehensive," would be released soon.
