According to Sinclair Broadcast Group journalist James Rosen, a Justice Department official confirmed that the FBI launched a criminal investigation into "Hunter Biden and his associates" in 2019, focused on allegations of money-laundering. The probe remains open and active today, Rosen reported, vowing "[m]ore very soon..."
Biden family insider Tony Bobulinski told Rosen's news outlet that he was questioned by six FBI agents, with counsel present, for five hours on Oct. 23, listing him as a "material witness" in the ongoing investigation.
The former business partner turned-whistleblower's cell phones were also examined, reviewing the widely-cited digital evidence. He will be brought back for additional questioning.

"They do list me as a material witness within the entire FBI on their computer systems and it was a very cooperative, deep dive into all the facts across that time period," Bobulinski stated on camera.
Rosen then asked Bobulinski if he sensed that the federal authorities were moving to seek justice prior to his public statement in Nashville.
"My impression is that everyone in that room is very aware of the sensitivity of the parties involved here and the potential, multiple impacts to this country, Bobulinski responded.
This comes after a DOJ source told One America News Network on Sunday that the federal law enforcement agency dropped the investigation due to supposed concerns over the story from the computer repair shop owner in relation to the chain of custody in the case.
