Ohio Senator and Trump running mate JD Vance slammed the Biden-Harris administration for their foreign policy failures as well as touted GOP nominee Donald Trump's record as he took to the debate stage on Tuesday against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Vance was asked by the moderators what Trump and Vance would do about the situation in the Middle East after Iran launched hundreds of rockets at Israel. Walz had previously blamed Trump's tenure as presidency for the result instead of the Biden-Harris administration. The Biden-Harris admin shipped more US troops to the Middle East on Tuesday morning.

Vance responded, "Governor Waltz, you blame Donald Trump. Who has been the vice president for the last three and a half years? And the answer is, your running mate, not mine. Donald Trump consistently made the world more secure."

Vance added about October 7 last year, "It was during the administration of Kamala Harris, so Governor Waltz can criticize Donald Trump's tweets, but effective, smart diplomacy and peace through strength is how you bring stability back to a very broken world. Donald Trump has already done it once before. Ask yourself at home ... I'm 40 years old? 'When was the last time that an American president didn't have a major conflict breakout?' The only answer is, during the four years that Donald Trump was president."

The GOP vice-presidential candidate spoke about Trump’s use of deterrence, and peace through strength in order to prevent adversarial foreign nations to advance in attacking US allies.

Walz blamed the failures of foreign policy under the Biden-Harris administration, such as an increasingly aggressive state of Iran, on Trump in his answers and said that Trump’s diplomacy came down to posting on then-Twitter when he was president.
