Lou Dobbs, long-standing political commentator and pundit, has died at 78. Donald Trump posted about Dobb's passing on Truth Social, saying "The Great Lou Dobbs has just passed away — A friend, and truly incredible Journalist, Reporter, and Talent. He understood the World, and what was “happening,” better than others. Lou was unique in so many ways, and loved our Country. Our warmest condolences to his wonderful wife, Debi, and family. He will be greatly missed!"

Dobbs worked for CNN and Fox News and was conservative in his perspective. He supported Trump during his first term in the White House. At the time of his death, he was broadcasting the Great America Show on iHeartRadio and loudobbs.com. He was an author as well as a commentator and radio host. He was the author of nine books.

Human Events' Jack Posobiec appeared on Dobb's show just recently, and posted that he "was never more honored than I was to appear on the great Lou Dobbs show." The two men discussed border security and the need to bring back Trumpian policies to protect Americans.

Dobbs previously wrote for Money as well as US News and World Report. He was the recipient of the Peabody Award, the Luminary Award by the Business Journalism Review, the Horatio Alger Association Award for Distinguished Americans, and an Emmy Lifetime Achievement award.

Charlie Kirk said of Dobbs, "Before Tucker and before Trump, Lou Dobbs was one of the first public voices to loudly warn about the disaster of our southern border and the dangers of unlimited immigration. A fearless voice to the end."

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Lou Dobbs," said Fox News in a statement to The Post Millennial. "An incredible business mind with a gift for broadcasting, Lou helped pioneer cable news into a successful and influential industry. We are immensely grateful for his many contributions and send our heartfelt condolences to his family.”
