The suit claims that this decision violates both federal law and the Constitution. The extension was granted despite a petition from Republicans, and now the court is being asked to review it again.
Missouri's participation, through state Attorney General Eric Schmitt's office, joins that of the Republican Association of Attorney's General, which is helmed by Louisiana's AG Jeff Landry. Oklahoma and Kentucky are also on board.
"The Republican AGs are already stepping up to the frontlines as 'America's insurance policy' against the possibility of a Biden-Harris Administration and their liberal extremist agenda," the Association stated in a news release.
President Trump has not yet conceded the election, as there have been substantial concerns alleged by Republican lawmakers, as well as concerns of voter fraud, ballot tampering, ballot harvesting, and the like, by the Trump campaign, across many of the 50 states, and specifically in the battleground states.
