The outlet reported that officials said that nobody in the home was injured at the time of the plane crash. The amount of deaths on board the aircraft was not immediately known, but none survived.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz responded to the report, writing on X, "My team is in touch with local officials on the scene in Brooklyn Park and we are monitoring the situation closely. Grateful to the first responders answering the call."
Officials said the plane was a SOCATA TBM7, which is a small business plane. It had been going from the Des Moines International Airport to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis. The FAA will be investigating the crash as well as the National Transportation Safety Board.
Kare 11 reported that witnesses at Bill Superette convenience store said they saw a small plane go down in the incident. The store is about a block away from the crash site. The witnesses then saw black smoke billowing up from the crash.
The crash in Brooklyn Park follows other plane crash incidents that happened earlier this year, including a commercial plane crash near Reagan International Airport and a smaller, medical plane crash that took place in Pennsylvania.
