The first state to go to former President Donald Trump on Super Tuesday was Viriginia. He won early in the evening with a small percentage of the vote in.

As polls closed on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Virginia, Trump quickly picked up a win early in the night with many states still to go.

He beat out former UN ambassador and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, leaving her with only win in Washington DC so far.

It was reported by the AP when around 11 percent of the vote was tallied. The outlet said that the former South Carolina governor did not have any events planned for the evening. Her campaign is reportedly watching the results from South Carolina and she said that the "mood is jubilant.”
