Yesterday, President Trump made a press release statement giving his two cents about how the Biden administration is delaying pull out from Iraq. These have been routine since Trump was banned from all major social media platforms back in January.
Today it continues. Trump in a formal letter suggests the White House reinstate his travel ban system in light of the migrant crisis America is now engulfed in.
“If Joe Biden wants to keep our Country safe from Radical Islamic Terrorism, he should reinstitute the foreign country Travel Ban and all of the vetting requirements on those seeking admission that go with it, along with the refugee restrictions I successfully put in place. Terrorists operate all over the world and recruit online. To keep terrorism and extremism out of our Country, we need to have smart, commonsense rules in place so we don’t repeat the many immigration mistakes made by Europe -- and the USA prior to 'Trump.'”
This isn’t the first time he’s brought this up. Former President Trump publicly criticized Biden’s handling of the US - Mexico border crisis last month.
This response by Trump was likely brought on by a recent move from the Biden administration to substantially increase the refugee cap. According to Press Secretary Jen Psaki, the White House is pushing for 125,000. The previous cap set by Trump was 15,000.
Over the weekend, even if it was inadvertently, President Biden acknowledged the situation on the US - Mexico border as a crisis. This came after several weeks of controversy over the administration’s handling of the situation.
